A favorite among all underage Emmanuel College students, Who’s On First is a great club around the Fenway area which features cheap drinks and good music.  Although you only have to be eighteen to gain admission, drinks are only served to patrons twenty one years of age or older.  In the shadow of Fenway Park, it is a local favorite to grab a drink before hitting up a more expensive bar.  Unlike Abbot and Costello, there is nothing funny about the drink prices that can be found at this affordable bar in a prime location.

The Audubon Circle is a tremendous bar to grab a drink with some friends.  The Audubon also offers great burgers and pressed sandwiches which can be enjoyed either indoors or on it’s fenced in outdoor deck located in the back of the building.  The drinks are reasonably priced and it is located right across the street from Emmanuel College favorite An Tua Nua.  Next time the wait is too long at An Tua Nua, The Audubon is an easy pick for a second choice.

Located in Brookline, The Coolidge Corner Clubhouse although small creates a great place for all Boston Sports Fans to eat and drink.  Just one step inside and customers can tell why the Clubhouse is so highly respected.  Wall to wall televisions play all sports games and the menu features specials after all the Boston sports icons.  If you are ever in Brookline and are looking for a spectacular place to grab a quick meal and drink The Coolidge Corner Clubhouse is your place.

A Spring Break atmosphere is put forth at Tequila Rain, located on Lansdowne Street.  Proper shoes and attire is necessary but it is an excellent place to grab a drink.  They are praised for their margaritas, and the club part of the bar is also highly talked about.  An environment that is unparalleled in Boston can only be consumed at Tequila Rain.

The Cactus Club, which offers Mexican cuisine, also offers the best margaritas found in Boston.  Therefore, this one of a kind bar/Mexican eatery cannot be matched for an authentic Mexican meal.  El Pelon has better and cheaper food, but without the drinks.  The Cactus Club can be found on Boylston Street, and is available for all to eat in but you must be twenty one to drink.

Whiskeys bar, situated directly across the street from the Prudential Center is a one of a kind bar which features music accompanied by their music videos on televisions plastered around the bar.  While the drinks are not very cheap, the atmosphere is a great place to enjoy a drink with the guys.  The only complaint I have is that they are pushy for everyone who is sitting to stay seated so that there is a walkway which gets pretty aggravating.

A one of a kind bar only located in Boston, Boston Beer Works features its own brews made in its own brewery.  It focuses on specialty beers and only carries its own authentic brews hand crafted in the brewery located within the restaurant.  Such beers include their blueberry beer and the Babe, named after Babe Ruth which is more of a light beer.  Along with the arrival of Daisuke Matsuzaka from Japan, Beer Works created a limited time beer called “Dice-K” which is created from hops flown in from his native Japan.  These beers can only be found in the shadow of beloved Fenway Park.

A football field away from the colleges of the Fenway, Punter’s Pub is a cheap night out.  Although it might be labeled as a “dive bar,” it serves seven dollar pitchers and punts out twenty-six dollar small kegs.  These drink specials allow local college students to drink on a dime and food specials are also offered though a window connecting to a local pizza parlor that offers dollar slices.  Punter’s kicks the prices of any bars in Boston and is situated in an ideal location for all college students.

Deep in the heart of Copley Square, Solas is an authentic Irish Pub, without the horrible food.  Features taken right out of Irelands small town pubs can be found in the middle of Boston but only at Solas.  Although a little pricey, it is worth a visit for a change of pace and a change of culture.
